What this snippet does
On a user-defined bridge, Docker's embedded DNS resolves container names to addresses.
Expected output
64 bytes from 172.19.0.2: seq=0 ttl=64 time=0.081 ms
Why practise typing this
Typing networking code builds muscle memory for the symbols and indentation Docker uses most, which prose-based typing tests never cover. DevType measures your words per minute and accuracy on this snippet and tracks the individual characters you mistype, so later lessons can target them.
