Overwriting without warning in Linux

LinuxFiles & Directoriesmvintermediate

What this snippet does

mv silently replaces an existing destination; -i prompts and -n refuses to overwrite.

Expected output

-rw-r--r-- 1 pratik pratik 812 Jul 28 09:14 final.txt

Why practise typing this

Typing files & directories code builds muscle memory for the symbols and indentation Linux uses most, which prose-based typing tests never cover. DevType measures your words per minute and accuracy on this snippet and tracks the individual characters you mistype, so later lessons can target them.
