TypeScript

Accessing a private member from outside the class in TypeScript

TypeScriptClassesAccess Modifiersbeginner

What this snippet does

TypeScript enforces private visibility at compile time, throwing an error if external code tries to access it.

Expected output

Compile Error: Property 'secret' is private and only accessible within class 'C'.

Why practise typing this

Typing classes code builds muscle memory for the symbols and indentation TypeScript uses most, which prose-based typing tests never cover. DevType measures your words per minute and accuracy on this snippet and tracks the individual characters you mistype, so later lessons can target them.
