What this snippet does
Function-namespace merging only works with standard function declarations, not const arrow functions, due to how hoisting and merging occur.
Expected output
Compile Error: Namespace declaration cannot be in the same scope as a variable.
Why practise typing this
Typing namespaces & merging code builds muscle memory for the symbols and indentation TypeScript uses most, which prose-based typing tests never cover. DevType measures your words per minute and accuracy on this snippet and tracks the individual characters you mistype, so later lessons can target them.
