Accessing static members via a generic instance in TypeScript

TypeScriptAdvanced GenericsGeneric Class Staticsadvanced

What this snippet does

You cannot access static members via an instance type parameter (c.count); you must use the class constructor itself.

Expected output

Compile Error: Property 'count' does not exist on type 'C<T>'.

Why practise typing this

Typing advanced generics code builds muscle memory for the symbols and indentation TypeScript uses most, which prose-based typing tests never cover. DevType measures your words per minute and accuracy on this snippet and tracks the individual characters you mistype, so later lessons can target them.
